NEW DATE JULY 3,4,5 2020

Posted by & filed under Blog, Homepage Alert, Motor Family - Vintage Torque Fest.

The current situation with COVID 19 has forced Vintage Torque Fest to reschedule.
After much negotiation, and help from Dubuque County Fairgrounds and Dubuque Visitor’s Bureau, Vintage Torque Fest has been salvaged.
Just 8 days ago we were ready to announce that VTF would be cancelled. Thanks to the combined efforts of multiple organizations, we will
have the show over the Independence Day holiday.

We understand that this is typically a family holiday, as well as the Good Guys show in Des Moines. Quite simply….we had a choice.
We could cancel the show, or proceed with the July 4th weekend. Over the past week we have consulted with bands, vendors, volunteers, and staff and
almost all have agreed that the Festival must go on. We hope you can join us. If not – we understand and know that you
will be missed. Hopefully things can get back to normal next year and we can kick off the season on April 30/May 1 2021.

There will be a lot of information coming out over the next few days regarding the schedule, hotels, camping, racing, and vending.
Please understand that Vintage Torque Fest is a non profit 501(c)3 and we rely on contributions to make this event happen, AND to give families much needed
financial assistance dealing with substantial medical bills incurred due to heart related surgeries & procedures. Thus far, Helping Hannah’s Heart has been able
to help raise over $60,000. We hope you will allow us to roll over the pre paid entries to July. If this is not a possibility, we ask that you roll
over to 2021. If you have questions about rolling over your payment to 2021 or refunds – please email kimhelpinghannahsheart@gmail.com There is no need to
email if you are able to roll over to July.

There are many things that will be discussed at length in the near future. We can say that most hotels are asking that people cancel their reservations for May, and make new reservations for July.
Please understand that we do not know specific details about each hotel. We urge you to call your hotel and rebook at your earliest convenience –
OR – feel free to make reservations in the campground at the Dubuque County Fairgrounds. They have already agreed to roll over all reservations
to July, or 2021. If you have questions about camping, please call the fairgrounds directly at: 563-588-1406

Please note that this will be the only make up date. We will not have the event on May 1-2. If the state, county, or local municipalities mandate
that no public gatherings are allowed, then we hope that you will make plans to attend Iron Invasion Oct 9-11 in Davenport IA.

The tentative schedule will be as follows (these details may completely change in the near future):
Friday – Free Country Cruise in the Afternoon Downtown Classic Car Parade 6pm Pre Party starting at 7pm at Stage 2 at Fairgrounds
Saturday – Staging at 9am Volunteers Enter 10am Public Entry 11am Bands start at 11:00am Classic Pinup Contest is at 11:30am Art Show/Auction at 2:30pm Vendor Buildings Close 8pm Chain Racing 8:00pm Flame Throwing Car Extravaganza 930pm
Sunday – Public Entry 9am Bands start 11am Dirty Drag Racing $1000 Race Noon Awards 3pm Modified Races 7pm (Fairground event – additional entry may be required. Details coming soon)

This is an unprecedented time, and our first concern is that everyone is safe and healthy. We value each one in our Motor Family and we feel that this Festival has more “heart” than any other event out there.
We are confident that together we can make it through this difficult time.

Love – The Wells Family – John, Kim, Madison, & Hannah
